Questions & Answers
Q. What is New Born Photography?
A. Newborn photography captures the innocence and beauty of a baby’s earliest days, preserving precious memories that you will treasure forever.
Q. When is the best time?
A. The sessions are often held within the first three weeks of birth when the baby is still very sleepy and can be easily posed.
Q. How long does a session typically last?
A. We have 2 Packages, 2-hour session and 4-hour session. This allows ample time for feeding, changing, and soothing breaks, as well as for setting up different poses and props.
Q. What should parents prepare or bring to the session?
A. Parents should bring/keep essentials like diapers, wipes, pacifiers, extra clothes for both the baby and themselves, feeding supplies, and any sentimental items they would like to include in the photos (like a special blanket or toy). Pacifier is recommended for the session.
Q. How should we prepare for an in-home session?
A. Choose a room with ample natural light, such as near a large window. Keep the room warm (around 25-27°C) to ensure the baby remains comfortable. Clear any clutter to create a clean background for photos. Give your baby a little less than a full feeding for the 1-2 hours before your session. Massaging and bathing the baby 2 hour before the session is recommended.
Q. What should the baby wear during the session?
A. Comfortable, loose clothing is recommended for easy changing, as many newborn photos are taken with the baby swaddled or in minimal clothing to highlight their delicate features.
Q. How should we dress for family photos?
A. Neutral, solid colors without bold patterns work best to keep the focus on the baby. Coordinating rather than matching colors can create a harmonious look.
Q. Do you use props, and if so, what kind?
A. Yes, props such as soft blankets, wraps, baskets, hats, headbands, and tiny stuffed animals are commonly used. However, all props are carefully selected for safety, cleanliness, and comfort.
Q. Can we request specific poses or themes?
A. Absolutely! Discuss any specific poses, themes, or ideas you have with us beforehand to ensure we can plan and accommodate your vision.
Q. What safety measures are taken during the session?
A. Safety is the top priority. Our team will always use safe props, maintain a comfortable environment, and never leave the baby unattended. A parent or assistant will be present to support poses or hold props as needed.
Q. Is it necessary to feed the baby before the session?
A. Yes, feeding the baby just before the session can help them feel sleepy and content, which is ideal for posing and capturing peaceful images.
Q. What if the baby has to be fed or changed during the session?
A. Feeding and changing breaks are entirely normal and expected. The session will pause as needed to ensure the baby’s comfort and well-being.
Q. What if baby has acne, birthmarks, or peeling skin?
A. Many newborns have skin imperfections, and this is perfectly normal. Our photographers will use lighting, angles, and gentle editing to minimize any noticeable blemishes while keeping the baby’s natural appearance.
Q. What if the baby is fussy or won’t settle?
A. It’s normal for babies to be fussy. Our photographers are experienced in handling such situations patiently and will follow the baby’s cues.
Q. What if the baby doesn’t sleep during the session?
A. While many newborn photos are taken with the baby asleep, awake shots can also be beautiful and capture the baby’s alert expressions. The session will be adjusted based on the baby’s mood.
Q. Do you offer packages or products like albums or prints?
A. Yes, we offer a range of packages that can include digital files, prints, albums, and other keepsakes. Please refer our package details page.
Q. How long will it take to receive the final images?
A. The editing process can take anywhere from 1 to 2 weeks. You will typically receive a sneak peek shortly after the session, with the full gallery following later.
